All Saints Chapel Finds A New Home Across Downtown Raleigh
On Saturday June 17, 2006, All Saints Chapel began its journey across Downtown Raleigh. The Chapel relocated from its Morgan Street location to its new home on East Street. All Saints Chapel, the oldest wooden structure still standing in Raleigh, was built in 1874.
Toby Coleman, from The News and Observer comments, “The 70-foot-long, 40-foot-wide chapel’s slow move to 110 S. East Street marked a rebirth for the old worship house with peeling gray paint, best known as the original home of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.”
