Becky Bascom attends a Cohousing Workshop on November 7th & 8th, for an in-depth look at how to create a successful and healthy community that balances privacy and interdependence.
The workshop, organized by Mike Ortosky of Earthwise Company, was lead by the architects who brought cohousing to the United States, Katie McCamant and Chuck Durrett (The Cohousing Company, McCamant & Durrett Architects).

Interested homeowners, developers, architects, and landscape architects gathered for a two day break down of how to market, finance, design, and build a successful cohousing community. This type of community has become increasingly popular in the United States—especially for senior citizens, as it addresses issues such as isolation and inactivity.
If you are interested in cohousing, Becky would love to speak with you on the subject and connect you with helpful, local resources. Contact her at (919) 829-4969 or becky@maurerarchitecture.com.
