105 S. Third Street
Smithfield, NC
Constructed in 1900, this two-story brick building was originally used as a general store. After sitting vacant for nearly 25 years, the facade and interior have now been fully restored. The building is now utilized as mixed-use property with an attorney’s office on the ground floor and a loft apartment on the second floor.
In February of 2008, Big Johnson of Smithfield received a certificate of special recognition by the North Carolina Main Street Program in the category of Best Historic Rehabilitation Project. Take a look at Smithfield News for more information.
