Exciting progress is being made at the historic property on S Front Street in Wilmington, NC. Pictured below is the installation of the monumental stair near the building's main entrance.
Part of the historic building structure was removed to make room for the new stairwell, and those true 2x12s will be reused as the new treads on the single stringer steel frame. The stair was designed in collaboration with Ron Pitz of Architectural Staircase and Millwork in Wilmington.
The building is owned by James Goodnight, and includes two open tenant spaces on the first floor. The second and third floors are home to Next Glass, an app that uses algorithms to create personal recommendations for beer and wine. https://www.nextglass.co/
