Hops for Hope... Round Two!

Guess what? We have TWO teams competing at this year's Hops for Hope event. This week Maurer Architecture and Atlantec Engineers visited Trophy Brewing to build our team cask.

Hops for Hope is an event to benefit Children's Flight of Hope, a non-profit organization providing air transportation for children in need of medical care. We are proud to support their cause, and look forward to tasting some fun beers at the event!

This October 1st event is open to the public, and tickets are on sale now. Visit trianglehops4hope.org for more information.

The 'BrewBuild' team met at Trophy Brewing Co. to build our signature beer using a Trophy base beer and adding some unique flavor components to the cask. We are excited to taste the final product!

Maurer Architecture and Hops for Hope!

Maurer Architecture is pairing up with Empire Properties and Gizmo Brew Works to create an original cask of beer!  We are proud to be a part of Hops for Hope,  the second annual fundraising event that pairs corporate teams with local breweries to create and drink beer! On October 1st, participants will showcase their creations to more than 500 attendees at the Contemporary Art Museum of Raleigh in an epic beer festival and competition for bragging rights.  Tickets are on sale now!  For more information visithttp://trianglehops4hope.org/

Proceeds from the event and team fundraising benefit Children’s Flight of Hope, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides air transportation for children to access medical care.  This is a great event for a great cause!

The 'Master Your Craft' team met at Gizmo Brew Works to get a brewing education and experiment with different flavor combinations to create our signature beer.  We started with a Gizmo base and mixed in a few special ingredients to set it off!  After much sampling, science, trial and error, and cheers, we came away with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a great cask of beer!

Maurer Architecture will lead historic Norris-Heartt House restoration!

We are so pumped!  One of the twelve State government-owned historic homes in the Blount St. Historic Overlay District up for sale will be a restoration project undertaken by Maurer Architecture!  The offer for the sale of the Norris-Heartt House was approved by the North Carolina Council of State on July 12, 2016...  check out the article in the Triangle Business Journal for some additional background information, link below.

Simple yet significant plan changes will transform the existing choppy layout into a sensible and open home. The central dividing wall has been removed in the living room providing a bright and open living, dining, and kitchen area.

Demolition Underway on Walnut Street

This lovely two-story historic building is undergoing thorough renovations, expected to be completed later this year.

On the first floor the storefront will be repaired and the space will be ready for a commercial tenant to move in, with new ADA toilet rooms, a storage area, and the existing historic stairs to remain.

Upstairs the former office space will be converted to a 3-bedroom apartment, with the historic skylights and many of the original walls to remain.
