Pittsboro Community House

Renovations are advancing at the Pittsboro Community House!

Originally constructed in 1936, this stone building once served as the Town Library and later as a Union Hall. More recently the space has been used for events. This charming community house has a large front porch and a 900 sq ft main hall (accommodating ~140 people).

The focus of this project is maintaining the building’s existing character while updating the space with modern amenities and improving accessibility. The original stone walls and hardwood floors will be preserved - including an amazing stone fireplace. The main hall will receive new lighting as well as a new HVAC system. Additional updates include a new catering kitchen, office, ADA restrooms, and an ADA exterior ramp will be installed.

Once the restoration process is complete the space will reopen for events. Construction is expected to start later this year!

We are excited to partner with the Town of Pittsboro on the renovation of this delightful building. Swipe to see renderings as well as some existing condition photos.
