Coming soon

Young Hearts Distilling Co will open this summer

Construction is wrapping up at downtown Raleigh’s first distillery! Craft spirits and cocktails, craft beer, special events, and great food will be the focus at Young Hearts Distilling Co, located in the former home of Trophy Tap and Table.

Our history with the building at 225 S. Wilmington Street began in 2008 when we were brought on to renovate the former Busy Bee Café. Although the building has seen some significant changes, the basic concept remains the same: to bring people together to enjoy delicious food and drink in a beautiful place.

Seabird is opening soon!

Here’s a excerpt from a lovely writeup in the Port City Daily:

The same attention to detail has been given to launching Seabird at the right time. Originally slated to open in 2020, the process has taken a bit longer. Neff has been working with Raleigh developer James Goodnight, who owns the building at 1 South Front Street.

“James is very much into bringing these old buildings back to a better state,” Neff said. “He made me feel really good about the whole relationship when he said, ‘I think a restaurant is the perfect thing for this building because it will allow the maximum amount of people to enjoy the space.’”

They sought the help of Old School Rebuilders of Wilmington, Maurer Architecture of Raleigh, and Atlanta designer Smith Hanes to bring the space to life and make it “feel like Wilmington.”

The Pre-Engineered Frame is Up at The Maxwell

The pre-engineered metal framing is up at the Maxwell! Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2021 and we are excited to see this timeless modern concept come to life. The Maxwell is a family owned wedding and event venue that will act as a flexible space near downtown Raleigh, great for both large occasions and intimate gatherings. Some of the building features include: a great room that can seat up to 250 people, a lounge with lots of natural light, a serene outdoor patio and cozy private suite.
